Regional Play

Last night our Varsity squad took the court against Northwestern. In game one we came out and played right with Northwestern. We blocked their hits, received their serves, and dug all balls. We had a few serving errors that put us a little behind, but worked together to come back. Even with our fight back we ended up losing game one 18-25. We were very pumped up after this, but did not come out as strong in game two. A long serve receive in Northwestern's favor put us a behind. Although we tried hard to make a comeback, we could not. We lost game two 6-25. In game three we made a few adjustments, but still could not get ahead of Northwestern. We lost game three 6-25. Losing is always hard, especially when it is the last game of the season. We again want to say thank you to Meagan VanderHeyden our varsity senior for all her leadership and hard work this season and all the seasons before that, that she dedicated to volleyball. We are going to miss her and wish her the best in every future endeavor. To our girls we say thank you for practicing hard, growing, and asking questions. We now have nine months of off-season workouts to get ready for next year's volleyball season. We look forward to watching many of our girls play basketball, hockey, soccer, softball, and run track. Thank you to our community, parents, and fans  that have come out to our games and events to cheer us on. Spooner Volleyball wouldn't be what it is without you. Keep coming to events and keep cheering loud. Go Rails! A final thank you to our coaches who plan every practice and work with our girls every night. Coach Eric Conner, Coach Staci Sikora, Coach Kayleigh Lutz, Coach Shanon Huffer, and Coach Kristina Berget you have done an amazing job this season and we thank you for your time spent with each player. We appreciate you!
