Pink Night Hayward

On Tuesday we played Hayward in our pink night. We collaborated with Hayward to use our pink jerseys and pink socks. We were very excited for this night and were glad to be able to support the cure for breast cancer. Although our games did not all turn out has we had hoped they would, we do continue to work on improvements and try new approaches. Cteam scores were 11-25, 25-27, and 14-25.  JV scores were 14-25, 21-25, and 17-15.

Varsity continues to fit into our groove. I am proud of the leaders on our team and the young players that have stepped up on our varsity squad. While we lost our games 13-25, 11-25, and 15-25 to lose match, we will only grow from here. We were able to honor our two seniors this night also. We thank Meagan VanderHeyden for her passion for volleyball and her continual willingness to learn and adapt. We also thank Mari Hordvik, a new to SASD foreign exchange student, for her joy and willingness to grow and learn. Varsity will take the court on Saturday, October 10th for our conference tournament. Play begins at 9:00 am in Chetek. JV and Cteam will host a Quad at Spooner High School and Middle School on Tuesday, October 13th. Play begins at 5:30 pm. This will be their final matches of the season. Varsity will again take the court on Thursday, October 15th for their Conference Quad. Play will begin at Spooner High School at 5:45 pm. We’d also like to note that our middle school teams will take play in their last matches at St. Joesph’s in Rice Lake on Thursday, October 15th. We have enjoyed watching them grow through this season.
