9/24/2015 against Barron

On Thursday, September 24th we hosted Barron. It was a tough night with tough losses. Our girls are working hard, but will continue to work on refining our skills.

C-team scores: 16-25, 11-25, 9-15

JV scores: 10-25, 17-25, 13-25

It was our Jr. Passer night and we were excited to celebrate them. It is important that our high school girls give back to the younger program. Jr. Passers have had one practice on Monday, September 21st and will have another on Monday, September 28th with high school players and coaches.

In game one we were simply working on our defense and learning where we needed to be in order to pick up hits. We started behind but continued to fight back. We ended up losing game one, 8-25. In game two we knew we would need to take our game to the next level and put even more onto the court. We made a few adjustments and made some improvements. We rallied for every point, but ended up losing 17-25. In game 3 Kayla Boutwell stepped out of setter into right side hitter and Hannah Kastner stepped in to set. Both did a great job working with each other. Meagan VanderHeyden moved from middle hitter to outside hitter and continues to show passion for the sport from any position. Emmie Bassett gave us many great swings and hits. We ended up losing game three, 10-25 As a young team we still have skills to improve on and we will focus on those in the next week.
